It’s Summertime! Check to See if Your Bicycle is Safe

Recently my wife and I stopped by a garage sale which had a child bicycle trailer for sale. We thought it would be great to convert one of our adult bikes into a “bicycle built for two” so we could take the kids with us on a family bike ride.nashbar_bike_trailer.jpg

After looking at the attachment we noticed a part was missing so we ran home and did a quick “Google” search on the manufacurer (Nashbar) to see if we could order the missing part. Glad we did the internet search. We discovered that the attachment had been recalled due to safety problems!

With summertime upon us people will be dusting off their bicycles and buying new ones. It goes without saying, that defective bicycles or cycling accessories can pose real dangers to riders that can result in serious personal injury or death.Click here to see if your bicycle is the subject of a safety recall.
