Don Stading received his B.A. (1965) and J.D. (1970) from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Upon graduation, he joined the law department of Bankers Life Insurance Co. of Nebraska, aka Ameritas Life Insurance Corporation, from which he recently retired as the Senior Vice President, Secretary, and Corporate General Counsel, and as the Secretary and General Counsel and Director for their numerous subsidiaries. Don joined the firm in the Of Counsel status in 2006.

Mr. Stading's primary areas of practice concentrate on Business, Commercial, Real Estate, Trust and Estates, and Probate Laws. He is admitted to practice before the state, federal district courts, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, Federal Tax Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. Stading is a current member of the Lincoln, Nebraska State, and American Bar Associations. He currently serves on the Lincoln Public School Foundation Board, Bryan LGH Foundation Board, as President of the Gateway Manor Board, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Lincoln Estate Planning Council, Lincoln Rotary Club #14, Society of Financial Service Professionals (CLU), City of Lincoln, Charter Review Commission, and is a Registered Nebraska Lobbyist.

Mr. Stading recently retired from the United States Army Reserves as Colonel-Armor.

Mr. Stading and his wife, Jean, have three children, seven grandchildren, and enjoy Nebraska sporting events.
