Con Keating was born on August 27, 1941, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas. He attended the University of Nebraska College of Law where he obtained his law degree in 1966.
Upon graduation, Mr. Keating joined the firm where he has developed an extensive practice in the litigation of serious personal injury, automobile accident and product liability cases, and an emphasis on domestic relations and family law.
Mr. Keating is past president of the Lincoln Bar Association, the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys, and the prestigious International Society of Barristers, to which he was accepted in 1979. He was inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers in 1991, a professional organization which admits only the top percentage of the lawyers in the country, based upon reviews by his peers in the profession. During Mr. Keating’s 34 years in the law firm, he has been active in the Nebraska State Bar Association as a president of the Young Lawyers Section, and has served on that association’s Nebraska Continuing Legal Education Committee, and as a member of the House of Delegates. Mr. Keating is also a past adjunct professor for the University of Nebraska College of Law in Trial Advocacy, Settlement Negotiations and Legal Ethics.
Because of his extensive litigation background, Mr. Keating now concentrates on mediation and other alternate dispute resolutions.
Mr. Keating and his wife Barbara have a daughter and son-in-law, both lawyers in Kansas City, and two grandchildren.
