Gary J. Nedved is one of the most experienced trial lawyers in Nebraska, having participated in over 100 jury trials in state and federal courts. As a result of his trial experience, success and recognition by his peers, Mr. Nedved has been inducted into prestigious honorary organizations, including the American College of Trial Attorneys and the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is a past President of the Lincoln Bar Association and has served on the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys.

Mr. Nedved’s extensive trial experience involves complex personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability and commercial litigation. In his 30 years of experience, he has handled a broad range of cases, many of which were referred to him by other lawyers throughout the state of Nebraska.

The following cases are examples of complex litigation recently handled by Mr. Nedved:

  • Settled a case for a 35 year old man who was totally disabled as a result of exposure to anhydrous ammonia.
  • Settled a medical malpractice action for a dentist who can no longer practice because his vision deteriorated due to a LASIK surgery.
  • Successfully defended a Lincoln business in a breach of contract action in which the Plaintiff, who was represented by a law firm in Houston, Texas, sought damages in excess of $1 billion.
  • Settled a product liability case against a major truck manufacturer as a result of brake failure which caused a construction truck to go out of control and kill a 19 year old college student.
  • Settled a medical malpractice case against a physician and hospital for the family of a man who went into cardiac arrest and died as a result of receiving too much morphine prior to surgery.
  • Successfully defended a local business in a breach of contract and fraud cause in a jury trial in Miami, Florida. The Plaintiff was represented by a Miami law firm and was seeking damages in excess of $7 million.
  • Settled personal injury cases for two high school students against the State of Nebraska who were injured when the bus in which they were riding went over a bridge in a construction zone.
  • Recovered royalty payments in a jury trial for the heirs of Dorothy Lynch in a commercial action involving a breach of a royalty agreement for Dorothy Lynch salad dressing.
  • Settled a malpractice action against a dentist for a young woman who was the victim of a misdiagnosis which resulted in the extraction of 13 teeth.
