Bio

Paul Peter’s fields of special interest are corporate law, taxation, and estate planning. In addition, Paul has extensive experience in the agricultural and student loan sectors of law. Highly regarded and rated at the highest levels of excellence by his peers in the legal community, Paul represents privately held and nonprofit companies in Nebraska and throughout the Midwest. He counsels clients in organizational and structural issues, mergers and acquisitions, and ongoing business and contractual relationships. Paul also focuses on complex estate and succession planning, which includes developing family wealth transfer plans with the goal of minimizing death taxes.

Paul particularly specializes in nonprofit and tax-exempt organization law. He represents nonprofit entities including public charities, private foundations, religious organizations, professional societies, and trade associations. Paul’s work includes forming nonprofit organizations and establishing their federal and state tax-exempt status. He assists clients in tax-exempt compliance, and in maintaining, merging, and dissolving various types of nonprofit organizations.

Paul is also the managing partner of the firm, having served in that capacity since 1993.
