Tom McCarty is a fifth-generation Nebraskan, born and raised in Lexington. Tom knew from an early age that he wanted to be a lawyer to serve his community and to help others resolve difficulties in time of need. He joins his brother and uncle as a fellow-attorney and graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law.
Tom served three years as judicial clerk to the Honorable C. Arlen Beam of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit before joining the firm in 2012.
Tom’s practice focuses on Labor Law and Commercial Litigation. He represents public-sector employees across Nebraska, including law enforcement officers, correctional officers, juvenile detention officers, and civilians. Tom’s experience covers collective bargaining, disciplinary actions and grievance proceedings, and use-of-force investigations.
